Vegan Jamun: Simple Recipe By Varadarangan Krishnaiyengar
Make the Sugar Syrup as desired. Raw sugar may be used for this purpose. Cardamom powder may be added if required.
To make the balls the following ingredients are required:
1. Sweet potatos-5 Nos.(Boiled, Peeled and Finely Mashed)
2. Maida Flour- 2 cups (approx.)
3. Baking Soda -1/4 tea spoon
Mix the above, fry deep and allow to cool. Wait for at least 5 minutes before adding to sugar syrup. (Do not add water to the dough. Adjust Maida flour to get right consistency.). This serving will have about 20 large sized Jamuns.
