Futter (Vegan and palm oil free table spread) ~ By Shane Andrews
1 cup coconut oil
30ml olive oil
30ml rice bran oil
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cumin
¼ tsp turmeric
Melt coconut oil into liquid form. Mix all ingredients into a 4 cup pyrex glass jug (or similar),
Place jug into a large bowl containing cold water and ice (I use 2 ice bricks), do not allow water to get into the futter. Leave for a couple of minutes and then mix occasionally for around 10 minutes by hand until nearly set. Transfer to storage container.
Increase olive and rice bran oil quantities as seasonal temp decreases.
